Governor Okpebholo pledged during his campaign tour of several wards in Esan West Local Government Area (Iruekpen and Ekpoma) as part of activities ahead of the August 16 Edo Central Senatorial By-election.
He announced that construction work on the 500-room hostel for the medical school at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, will begin in the coming weeks.
The Governor stated, “The Edo State Government will build a 500-room hostel accommodation for the medical school in AAU, Ekpoma. We will mobilise work to start soon.
“Remember, the first thing I announced when I became Governor of Edo State was our plan to increase the school’s subvention to ₦500 million. Have we not done that? Have we not constituted the governing council for the school?”
