FG to Engage KWAM 1 as Airport Security Ambassador After Aircraft Incident

The Federal Government has announced plans to engage Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM 1) as an airport security protocol ambassador, following his recent attempt to block a moving aircraft at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Initially, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) imposed an indefinite flight ban and filed criminal charges against the singer. However, on Wednesday, Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said the sanctions had been reviewed after appeals and KWAM 1’s public apology.

“In light of his remorse, the NCAA will reduce his flight ban to one month and withdraw criminal complaints. FAAN will also engage him as an ambassador for proper airport security protocol,” Keyamo said.
