Accreditation and voting began at 8:00 AM at Polling Unit 001, Amaoji Primary School, Isuofia, in Aguata LGA, Anambra State, where 1,060 voters are registered.
The area remained calm as voters turned out gradually and were attended to promptly by INEC officials, who had set up materials before the start time.
Many voters praised INEC for the smooth and timely conduct of the exercise, describing it as a sign of proper preparedness.
