The Emir of Zuru, Major General Muhammad Sami II (rtd), has died at the age of 81 in a London hospital.
His death was confirmed on Sunday by Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor.
Sami, a retired military officer, previously served as military governor of Bauchi State during President Muhammadu Buhari’s military regime (1984–1985).
