Winless United drop points again in Fulham stalemate

Manchester United’s search for a first Premier League win continues after a 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday. Despite leading through a Rodrigo Muniz own goal, United were denied victory by a late equaliser from Emile Smith Rowe.

Bruno Fernandes squandered a chance to put United ahead earlier, firing a first-half penalty over the bar after a VAR-awarded decision against Calvin Bassey.

Ruben Amorim’s side, aiming to bounce back from last season’s 15th-place finish, showed promise but again lacked cutting edge, with £200m worth of attacking talent failing to deliver.

Fulham, meanwhile, were left frustrated by two contentious VAR decisions but earned a deserved point in front of a lively home crowd at Craven Cottage.
