The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has called on the Federal Government to prioritize indigenous manufacturers in the supply of materials for the Lagos airport perimeter fencing project, urging against the importation of Clear Vu fencing.
In a statement, MAN applauded the government’s infrastructure drive but emphasized that the ongoing procurement for the Murtala Mohammed International Airport security fencing must align with President Bola Tinubu’s Nigeria First Policy.
MAN’s Director-General, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, stated, “It is a matter of national interest that the contractor strictly adheres to Executive Orders 003 and 005, and ensures local content is prioritized in line with the President’s directives.”
He added that Nigerian manufacturers are capable of delivering high-quality fencing materials and should be considered before any foreign alternatives.
