The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ordered the arrest of Olakunle Alex Folarin, a dismissed former staff member, after he was seen participating in a matchmaking show hosted by entertainer Lege Miami.
According to a statement posted on the EFCC’s official X handle on Monday, Folarin had been dismissed from the agency after investigations confirmed he forged his academic credentials. He had served as a driver at the EFCC’s Ibadan Zonal Office.
The Commission further noted that Folarin unlawfully retained official EFCC property, including an identity card, and condemned his public appearance using the agency’s identity as misleading and inappropriate.
EFCC emphasized that disciplinary actions had already been taken, and his latest actions prompted a fresh order for his immediate arrest.
