Sokoto — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada Local Government Area has dismissed reports of a mass defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as false, mischievous, and baseless.
In a statement signed by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Zayyanu Barau Gada, the council called the rumours “cheap propaganda” aimed at misleading the public and creating a false narrative of disunity.
Hon. Gada affirmed that no APC member in Gada LG has defected, stressing that the party remains “solid, indivisible, and unwavering” in loyalty to Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and aligned with Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
“These malicious reports are the handiwork of political opportunists who thrive on lies and blackmail. Their aim is to distract, but they will not succeed,” the statement said.
