Nigerian Army rescues 27 abducted passengers in Benue

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke stormed the kidnappers’ hideout in Amoda community, Ohimini LGA, Benue State, freeing 27 abducted passengers.

The operation is part of a wider nationwide campaign against terrorism and crime, resulting in 15 terrorists killed, 42 suspects arrested, and 30 kidnapped victims rescued across Nigeria.

In the Northeast, troops clashed with Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents, killing 15 fighters and seizing weapons and equipment.

Security forces also arrested drug and oil theft suspects in Kaduna, Bayelsa, and Delta, and destroyed illegal crude oil bunkering sites in Imo, Rivers, and Delta states.
