₦200 Trillion Fund Probe: NNPCL Chief absent again at Senate committee hearing

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, has once again failed to appear before the Senate Committee on Public Accounts, despite being given a 10-day deadline to address issues surrounding unaccounted funds amounting to ₦200 trillion.

Instead of attending the session in person on Thursday, Ojulari sent a team of representatives.

However, the committee refused to engage with the delegation, insisting that only the GCEO himself must respond to the 11 key financial concerns highlighted in the company’s audited reports.

Lawmakers criticized Ojulari’s repeated absence, calling it a blatant disregard for the authority of the National Assembly and a violation of its oversight mandate.
