The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, revealed in a statement from Abeokuta that on Monday, August 11, 2025, at about 2:00 p.m., officers from the 71 PMF Awa Ijebu, while conducting a routine stop-and-search along the Ijebu Ode/Ibadan Expressway near Refugees Camp Junction in Oru Ijebu, intercepted a motorcyclist, Kadir Owolabi.
Upon searching his luggage, officers discovered three human skulls.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a second suspect, 53-year-old Jamiu Yisa, near the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
In response, the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered the State CID to take over the case for a thorough investigation
