Accelerating Nigeria’s Growth: NDIS 2025 Set to Mobilise Diaspora Investments

The 8th Nigerian Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS 2025) is being positioned as a transformative platform to accelerate Nigeria’s economic growth by strategically harnessing the wealth, innovation, and expertise of its global diaspora.

Scheduled to take place from November 11–13, 2025, at the State House, Abuja, the summit is convened by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) in collaboration with the Nigeria Diaspora Summit Initiative (NDSI) under the theme, “Fast Tracking Regional & National Development by Mobilising Diaspora Investment.”

This hybrid event will serve as a premier gathering for diaspora Nigerians — including investors, entrepreneurs, business executives, and policymakers — featuring keynote addresses, investment pitches, exhibitions, and targeted networking sessions designed to connect the Nigerian global community with viable opportunities across key economic sectors.

Speaking ahead of the event, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, described the summit as a consistent driver of economic progress.

“The Nigerian Diaspora Investment Summit continues to be a catalyst for change, linking our diaspora to tangible investment prospects and sustainable partnerships that drive growth, create jobs, and advance national development,” she said.

Highlighting the summit’s focus on actionable outcomes, the keynote address will be delivered by Professor (Dr.) Bartholomew Nnaji, former Minister of Power and Chairman of Geometric Power Limited. Mr. Temi Popoola, Group Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Exchange Group, will also speak, offering insights into innovative investment frameworks and financial strategies for national development.

The 2025 edition aims to deepen diaspora engagement as a cornerstone for Nigeria’s economic diversification, regional growth, and sustainable development.
