Over the weekend, the Federal Government took action to lessen the malaria plague. It designated prominent banker Tony Elumelu, astute businessman Femi Otedola, and the wealthiest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, to spearhead the new initiatives to end the threat.
During the team’s inauguration in Abuja, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, stated that the nation is responsible for more than 25% of all malaria cases worldwide and almost 33% of all malaria deaths.
