Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for urgent and collective efforts to tackle Nigeria’s growing skills deficit, stressing its importance to the country’s economic transformation.
Speaking during the 6th National Council on Skills (NCS) meeting at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, Shettima emphasized the need to cultivate a strategic, future-ready workforce capable of driving national development.
In line with this goal, the Federal Government has hinted at plans to assess and possibly revamp existing skills training centers across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to better align them with Nigeria’s economic priorities.
