The National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation to 20 academic programmes at Adekunle Ajasin University, reinforcing the institution’s academic standing.
The approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the NUC’s Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary. According to the university, the accredited programmes cut across six faculties, highlighting its expanding academic strength and national recognition.
Programmes that secured full accreditation include Accounting, Banking and Finance, and Public Administration under Administration and Management; Linguistics and Yoruba, Philosophy, and Yoruba Language in Arts; and nine courses in Education, including Adult Education, Educational Management, and various science and social science education disciplines.
Law, Biochemistry, and Geology also received full accreditation, alongside Geography, Planning Sciences, and Psychology in the Social Sciences.
Reacting, Vice Chancellor Olugbenga Ige commended the NUC for its commitment to maintaining quality standards in Nigerian universities. He also praised the university’s staff for their dedication, pledging to sustain and further improve academic excellence.
The accreditation followed the NUC’s assessment exercise conducted at the university between October and December 2025, with the outcome widely celebrated across the campus.
