Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has called for a nationwide shift toward technology-driven education, saying Nigeria must adopt modern learning systems to remain globally competitive.
He made the call while speaking at the commissioning of the Katsina State Smart Secondary School in Radda, describing it as a model for future-focused education reform.
AbdulRazaq said the project reflects a visionary approach to education that goes beyond classroom enrolment to equipping students with digital and technical skills needed in the 21st century.
He praised Katsina State Governor Umar Dikko Radda for investing in innovative learning infrastructure that prepares students to compete with peers globally, especially in science and technology.
According to him, similar smart education initiatives in Kwara State also demonstrate how subnational governments can drive national transformation through education reform.
The governor stressed that integrating technology into teaching and learning is essential to preparing Nigerian children for a rapidly evolving global economy.
He added that such investments will help reposition states and the country for sustainable development through improved education systems.
