Thousands of residents and party stakeholders in Eti-Osa, Lagos State, have declared support for President Bola Tinubu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, and Lagos Assembly Majority Leader Noheem Adams ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement took place during a major political gathering attended by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Central Working Committee in Eti-Osa, led by Governance Advisory Council member, Engr. Murphy Adetoro.
Also present at the event were APC ward leaders, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, and representatives of the Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA), who had earlier adopted Adams as the APC consensus candidate for Eti-Osa Constituency I.
Party leaders at the rally reaffirmed their backing for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, declaring that there would be “no vacancy” in the Presidency and the Eti-Osa Assembly seat in 2027.
The gathering also witnessed strong support for Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat as the preferred successor to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, Murphy Adetoro described the massive turnout as proof of Adams’ growing popularity and acceptance within the constituency, adding that stakeholders were satisfied with his performance in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Former lawmaker Yahaya Dosunmu expressed optimism that Eti-Osa could produce the next Speaker of the Lagos Assembly, while LERSA President, Alhaji Sulyman Bello, praised Adams for championing residents’ interests and intervening in community-related issues.
Members of the Arewa community in Eti-Osa also pledged support for Adams, revealing that more than 1,500 members had already been mobilised for his re-election campaign.
Responding, Adams thanked party leaders and residents for their confidence in him, promising to deliver more democratic dividends if re-elected. He also commended President Tinubu for the ongoing coastal road project, describing it as a major development initiative boosting support for the APC in the constituency.
