President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged full government support for Nigeria’s media industry in its fight against global tech giants’ dominance. He assured media leaders of policy interventions to ease economic pressures, including a review of tariffs on essential production materials like newsprint, printing plates, chemicals, and broadcast equipment.
Tinubu described the press as an “indispensable partner” in sustaining democracy and vowed to dismantle fiscal obstacles threatening local media survival.
