Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres struck late to hand FC Barcelona a 2-1 victory against CA Osasuna, pushing them to the verge of defending their La Liga crown.
The Catalan side now hold a commanding 14-point lead over Real Madrid and could be confirmed champions if their rivals drop points against RCD Espanyol.
After a quiet first half, Barcelona stepped up their performance after the break. Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 81st minute, rising to head home from a well-delivered cross. Torres then added a second goal late on to secure the win.
Osasuna responded through Raul Garcia in stoppage time, but it was not enough to deny Barcelona all three points.
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick praised his team’s resilience, highlighting their improved second-half display after struggling to break down Osasuna early on. The absence of Lamine Yamal was felt, with the team lacking attacking sharpness in the opening stages.
Osasuna nearly took the lead in the first half when Ante Budimir struck the post after a strong solo effort.
Barcelona found momentum after halftime, with Dani Olmo going close before substitutions changed the game. Marcus Rashford added pace and creativity, helping create the opening goal with a precise cross for Lewandowski.
The win marks Barcelona’s 10th straight league victory, leaving them within touching distance of a second consecutive La Liga title and the 29th in their history. If Real Madrid win their next match, Barcelona could seal the title in the upcoming El Clásico clash.
