The city of Lagos is set to become the epicenter of leadership and transformation as Emiralty Africa prepares to host its flagship summit on May 14, 2026.
Scheduled to take place at the Radisson Blu, Ikeja, the maiden edition of the Emiralty Africa Summit is themed “From Scar to Shine: Reflections on Struggles, Breakthroughs, and Impacts.” The event is designed to pull back the curtain on the grueling journey from “ground zero” to market dominance.
According to the Convener, Idris Bello, the summit aims to move beyond the “glossy finished products” of success to examine the raw mechanics of achievement.
Bello who stated the summit is diving deep into the ‘Three S’ framework,” “The Scar (the struggle), the Spark (the breakthrough), and the Shine (the legacy). explained that Creatives and Entrepreneuers would be shown that every scar has the potential to shine brilliantly when viewed through the right lens.”
He added that the summit will feature a keynote address by Otunba Kazeem Olayemi Odeyeyiwa, Chairman and CEO of Repton Group, alongside a session with Guest Speaker, Ambassador Dr. Prevail Farida Ahmed.
To maintain a balance of professional depth and high-energy delivery, the event will be co-hosted by celebrated actor Adeniyi Johnson and Abegunde Olamilekan .
Bello also revealed that the day’s intellectual agenda is divided into three distinct pillars.
The Creative Industry Panel: Titled “Turning Passion into Power,” this session features Tomi Falade, Life Editor at Independent Newspapers, who will discuss visibility and the media spotlight. She will be joined by entertainment icons Femi Adebayo, Mercy Aigbe, Bukky Wright, and Libra TV CEO Olalekan Wasiudeen to navigate the complexities of the Nigerian entertainment landscape.
The Business Panel would be hosted by Lanre Basamta and feature Alhaji Ahmad Lawal, Dr. Amb. Funke Kehinde, Chief Adaralegbe Akintayo, and Otunba Adegboyega Shuaib Ajala. The discussion will focus on the “Media Advantage” and how startups can scale into market authorities.
The Governance Panel to be moderated by Moji Delano will see Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Obasa, Hon. Lekan Fatodu, Hon. Dr. Olamide Junaid, and Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo examine the rigors of public service and the integrity required in leadership.
The summit is being positioned as more than just a conference but a movement bridging the gap between private toil and public triumph.
