The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed condolences following the death of a Nigerian pilgrim, Mallama Aishatu Muhammadu, in Saudi Arabia during the ongoing Hajj exercise.
The 73-year-old pilgrim from Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State reportedly suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while travelling from Jeddah to Madinah on Saturday.
NAHCON Chairman, Ismail Abba Yusuf, extended the Federal Government’s sympathies to the family of the deceased and prayed for Allah to grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also assured the family that the government would support the safe return of her personal belongings and official documents through the Adamawa State Pilgrims Welfare Commission.
