To significantly improve quality and performance across educational establishments, the Federal Government has called on the governing councils of several Federal tertiary institutions as well as the board of trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to use their experience.
Professor Tahir Mamman, the minister of education, announced in Abuja during the inauguration of the TETFund Board of Trustees and the governing councils of many federal tertiary institutions.
Mamman stressed that the government had high expectations from them in tackling the issues affecting tertiary education and urged them to use their networks to draw resources and support for the institutions.
