The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, led the launch of a new police patrol boat on January 21, 2026, at the Command’s Marine Office in Ikoyi. The event was attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Operations and Area Commanders, highlighting the command’s commitment to strengthening maritime security in Lagos.
The patrol boat, donated by the Federal Ministry of Works, is expected to enhance the operational capacity of the Lagos State Police Command in combating maritime crimes, ensuring safer waterways, and supporting emergency response efforts across the state’s coastal and riverine areas.
CP Jimoh emphasized that the new addition would play a key role in boosting the effectiveness of marine operations and reiterated the command’s dedication to protecting residents and businesses along Lagos’ extensive waterways.
